Color map

Post by Lautibah »

I have received new measures that I have never treated before: I thought I could plot the data with "Color map" function but it doesn't work as expected (expected a "3D"/2D plot).
I want X to be the first column (temperature), Y the other columns (but not time column), and color the height (or actual values).

What am I doing wrongly? https://magicplot.com/wiki/colormap , I coulnd't obtain much information from there, only that it is probable I am trying to use the function incorrectly.

Ok, I have found the problem. Since I was using the whole table, the color intensity range was so large everything had the same color. Now it looks ok. Thank you.

I was about to delete the thread, but I found it interesting for somebody else that faces wth the same issue.

No problem!

I don't know if I found a small bug. In the color map properties, when changing the custom range, the step is automatically recalculated. But if control+z is pressed afterwards you change the range, the step is not automatically recalculated.
