Fit curves list
Fit curves list
When you add a new curve and try to drag it, it will always be dropped one position above the one you desired
Example:
Curve1
Curve2
Curve3
you add curve 4
Curve1
Curve2
Curve4
Curve3
You try to drag and rop curve 4 to the 4th position, it won't work
Example:
Curve1
Curve2
Curve3
you add curve 4
Curve1
Curve2
Curve4
Curve3
You try to drag and rop curve 4 to the 4th position, it won't work

Re: Fit curves list
Hello,
It must work, the "drop target" is drawn as a bold gray line between the rows (it was fixed some time ago)... Are you using the latest MagicPlot (2.8.2)? On Windows?

Thank you, I see the bug. What version of Java do you have? The "About" dialog from "Help" menu shows it.

Re: Fit curves list
Finally I got it! Yes, it is a bug, we'll fix in upcoming update, thank you for submission.
Re: Fit curves list
Ok! Good.
Other thing I've found today. Why does this happen? The curves are plotted, they have color but it is not shown in the legend, only for a few of those. ¿?
Find image attached.
Off topic: I've moved to UK for 3 months, now I am running the trial version. Am I able to deactivate the license I have in Spain and put it in here during this period? (I am using other of my personal's computer for the stay abroad)

Re: Fit curves list
Are the legend lines also absent in vector export, in PDF files?
For the second question, you can use the same license key on your both personal computers (provided that you are the only user of both).

Re: Fit curves list
Yes, they are.
I've uploaded the file within the .rar, because the forum does not allow to update .pdf files.
This happened to me after applying a template. But, if the style is ok in the figure properties I don't know why it is not in the figure
I'll also attach the .mppz file (also within the rar, because it is neither allowed)

Re: Fit curves list
We are sorry for the issue, we have found the cause. It seems that the bug appeared after applying figure template in which curve styles were set for table curves and only markers were switched on. So the curve style from the template contain 'connect=false' tag for these curves and it is ignored for formula curves anywhere but not in legend drawing. The fix will be available in upcoming 2.9 release.
We can suggest the hot fix for current version. Please create a figure with N table curves and set 'connect' with line to it (you can copy and paste one curve multiple times). Then save a figure template from this figure and apply this template to your figure. The legend will appear.
Upd. Fixed in MagicPlot 2.9.

Re: Fit curves list
This issue is fixed now in MagicPlot 2.9. It's not released yet (a few days left), but I want to submit the workaround now because I can forget to do it later

The issue is fixed for new Fit Plots but for Fit Plots already created this may be still actual. In this case, please select all fit curves on Fit Plot, cut them to the clipboard and then paste them back. The issue with reordering will gone after this operation. We are sorry for the bug. Once again, it's for 2.9 that's not released by now.

Re: Fit curves list
Yes, thank you once again, we've found that copy-pasting in curves list cause that effect. The fix will be available with upcoming update. We are sorry that it was not fully fixed.
